Meet
Our Interim Pastor Pastor Wes Hamlin is Tree of Life's Interim Pastor. Pastor Hamlin
retired from parish ministry in Upstate New York and he and his wife,
Cynthia, moved to Camden, DE. The Hamlin's have two adult children
and three grandchildren.
Pr. Hamlin is a graduate of the University of Pittsburg and the
Lutheran Seminary at Philadelphia. Upon seminary graduation (1964)
he was awarded a Trexler Fellowship for Graduate Study at the University
of Chicago. He later earned a doctorate in ministry from the Graduate
Theological Foundation at Notre Dame (1988).
Ordained into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in 1965, he served
parishes in the Upstate New York Synod for 38 years.
Pastor Hamlin's
interests and hobbies include reading, cross-word puzzels, and
travel. He has a passion for sharing the good news of
the gospel. His preaching style is 'down-to-earth" - and sometimes
tinged with humor!
Pastor Hamlin sees his role as helping Tree of Life to prepare for
the next regularly-called pastor and to provide basic Christ-centered
and mission-directed ministry.
